Unique Parcel Identifier (UPI)

UPI enables various data that are captured by different agencies to be accessed and shared. It aims to assist in retrieval and exchange of spatial and non spatial cadastral data.

There are three (3) categories of UPI introduced for cadastral data searching namely:

1. Final Title for surveyed land,
2. Qualified Title for unsurveyed land; and
3. Strata Title for properties in high-rise buildings.

Benefits of UPI implementation:

1. Ease of implementation and integration of application systems.
2. Ease of data exchange between government agencies.
3. Facilitate government agencies in application development and;
4. Provide a foundation for uniform documentation implementation in related agencies.
