Administration and Finance (Admin)
    Function

ADMINISTRATION

  1. Ensure the smooth flow of administration in MaCGDI.
  2. Update the system and file movement.
  3. Ensure that the office environment is neat and tidy
  4. Be responsible for the MaCGDI staffs discipline and progress.
  5. Update the service records such as leave, job confirmation and progress report of officers and staffs.
  6. Represent MaCGDI in meetings that concern administration and management.
  7. Coordinate and prepare answer draft for questions by 'Dewan Rakyat' and 'Dewan Negara'.
  8. Be the connector between MaCGDI and other departments, agencies and ministries related to administration and management.
  9. Produce administration and management report during MaCGDI management meeting.

POSITIONS 

  1. Ensure that positions that are approved or vacant are filled as soon as possible.
  2. Update the need of the position such as the list of duties, desk file, work procedure manual and duty submission note.
  3. Contact the Human Resource Department of the Ministry and Public Service Department to get the latest update on the current positions.

SECRETARIAT

  1. Become the management team of meetings such as:
  2. MaCGDI Management Meeting
  3. MaCGDI Department Meeting
  4. Prepare minutes of arranged meetings.
  5. Coordinate actions and feedback from arranged meetings.
  6. Manage trips or meetings with departments, agencies, ministries or other parties for MaCGDI officers and staffs.

TRAINING

  1. Plan Training Schedule
  2. Coordinate Training
  3. Propose participants for training

FINANCE

  1. Plan and coordinate a budget to manage and develop MaCGDI.
  2. Prepare budget suggestions for MaCGDI.
  3. Represent MaCGDI in meetings related to budget and finance.
  4. Monitor the expenditure of MaCGDI.
  5. Ensure all expenditure is spent according to the fixed financial plan.
  6. Coordinate the purchase and maintenance of tools that are provided to MaCGDI.
  7. Report the financial status at MaCGDI management meeting.

  2. Coordinating body for geospatial data and standard geography information development.
  3. Construct policies for spatial data sharing activity between agencies that needs research on data readiness, system, infrastructure available at each providing agencies and users in all levels.
  4. Ensure the existing base and policy is followed during data exchange between agencies in Malaysia through MaCGDI's Clearinghouse.
  5. Lead the monitoring and policy coordinating tea, during data exchange between agencies in Malaysia through MaCGDI's Claeringhouse.
  6. Conduct research and planning to identify the framework theme and dataset including its provider.
  7. Construct data custodianship guidelines to the public and private sector.

  1. Legislation of MyGDI metadata standard according to the international standard.
  2. Encourage the standard usage, consultation and training that can be widely implemented.
  3. Preparing the guidelines of metadata availability and manageable.
  4. Conduct research to identify the standard of spatial data exchange planning.
  5. Manageable and updating MyGDI Standard.
  6. Secretariat of the MyGDI Standard Technical Committee and related working group
  7. Secretariat of the Name and Administrative Boundary Code Standardization for Land Administration
  8. Produce the development and MyGDI standard implementation reports.
  9. Ensure that all main data providers documented the various standard according to the MyGDI standard.
  10. Identify the MyGDI Standard implementation issues and the solutions to be justified by the Committee.
  11. Monitoring the solutions of standard issues that has been agreed.
  12. Involvement with the R&D team for the development of applications related to standard.
