Yes, students for public universities in the country can apply for basic geospatial data shared through the MyGDI program with a fee waiver and the application must first be submitted through the Dean of the respective University. However, the sharing and release of geospatial information at the academic level is also dependent on the consent of the APD involved.

The basic geospatial data application is only applicable for Government Agencies (G2G), Public University Students in the Country (G2E) and Data Provider Agencies (APD) only. Apart from those categories, applicants can refer to the relevant PPE.

No. The UPI application is open to the public.

Yes. Users can access the UPI Application via the link: https://mygos.mygeoportal.gov.my/upi/ Users can download the list of land administration boundary codes and names in pdf and excel format through the download function found in the application. Data sharing in spatial format can be obtained through an official application to PGN.

No .The UPI application only displays the code structure and name of land administration boundaries such as State, District/Colony/Division/Daerah Kecil/Jajahan Kecil, Mukim/Bandar/Pekan/Land/Town District/Village and Section/Precint/Block/Section/Kampung/Island . Information about the lot number is not displayed in this application.

Yes. The jawi spelling image in the MyGeoName application has been reviewed and verified by the Munsyi Dewan (Jawi), an individual who has been commissioned by the Language and Literature Council (DBP) to carry out the jawi spelling transliteration work. Pronunciation audio of geographical names in Official Malay and Local Dialects has been verified by linguists who have been appointed by PGN and approved by DBP.

MyGeoMap is an application that provides geospatial information from Government and private agencies to the public. It is a one stop center for public users to search various information and locations related to Government premises. The application also provides a crowdsource function that allows public users to share information about floods, clinics and restaurants. In addition, there is also a navigation function that provides route information from one location to another. MyGeoMap is available and accessible at any time through web and mobile applications.

  • The policy of sharing and disseminating geospatial information through the MyGDI Program is established through Circular Letter on the Implementation of the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure (MyGDI) No.1 Year 2024: Guidelines for the Development and Implementation of MyGDI as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Sharing and Release of Geospatial Information under MyGDI which was published in January 2024.
