The National Geospatial Centre (PGN) remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that MyGeoportal content maintains the highest standards of integrity, control, and security. Consistent accessibility is vital, as it serves as a primary channel for delivering direct, information-rich services to PGN clients within the digital landscape. To achieve this vision, the Portal and Multimedia Section of the Geospatial Application Branch (CAG) conducted a specialized training session on Security Configuration and Content Management Systems (CMS) for the MyGeoportal technical team.
The training session was successfully held from January 12 to 15, 2026 (Monday to Thursday) at the MyGDI Excellence Training Centre, Level 8, PGN. The instructor for this session was Mr. Azlan bin Marjono, who is currently serving at the Judicial Appointments Commission in Putrajaya. All participants received comprehensive training covering Drupal CMS management and MyGeoportal application configurations.
Training Objectives :
- System Security Strengthening: Enhancing MyGeoportal’s security configurations to guarantee data protection and system stability against cyber threats.
- CMS Management Efficiency: Elevating technical skills in portal content management to ensure a more systematic and user-friendly experience.
- Issue Resolution and Improvement: Addressing existing technical issues to establish a baseline for the execution of the MyGeoportal 2026 Improvement Plan.
- Operational Readiness: Ensuring the technical team is fully competent in handling internal system configurations to support long-term operational sustainability.
Participant understanding showed marked improvement, particularly during the hands-on sessions for MyGeoportal. Consequently, sessions of this nature are crucial for maintaining the talent and skill consistency of the technical team, ensuring that services remain aligned with the evolving needs of MyGeoportal clients..
