Rocks that solidified from molten or partly molten magma.
Rocks resulting from the consolidation of loose sediments.
An area where marine geology studies are conducted.
An area identified capable of producing significant quantity of groundwater.
An area where hydrogeological studies are conducted.
An area where engineering geology studies are conducted.
A hole drilled into the earth for the extraction of groundwater.
A lithodemic unit is a body of intrusive, pervasively deformed, or highly metamorphosed rock, generally non-tabular and lacking primary depositional structures, and characterized by lithologic heterogeneity. The unit is defined entirely on the basis of lithogic character. In contrast to lithostratigraphic units, a lithodemic unit generally does not conform to the Law of Superposition.
Area of geological rock units classified according to principal stratigraphic categories; which generally conforms to the Law of Superposition and commonly is stratified and tabular in form.
An area where the search for minerals, groundwater and geological features is done using geophysical method.
